I’m about to go put a new vacuum hose on my car. It’s a really, really, really snug fit. There’s an easy way to make that work, and then there’s a stupid way.
Of course I’m gonna be struggling with the stupid way. Why can’t we get a nice little guide cone thingy on the top of the metal tubes? Why?

Might be a bad idea, but can you put the length of hose in a baggie and then put the whole thing in warm/hot water to make it more flexible?

Silicone spray is your friend :)

I can try that if it doesn’t go on easily. I’ll probably get around to attaching it in a few more minutes. I’m good at procrastinating.

Use some butter. The kind with olive oil works especially delicious.

Spit on it, then push it all the way in.

Came to say this, but dont’ over do it, else you’ll be slipping everywhere and unable to grip anything.

Is that a real suggestion? My dad said I could use a drop of motor oil, too, but I’m very skeptical about these claims. :P

Alas intentional innuendo was the culprit. Could work though. I’d suggest a grease rather than an oil.

I’ve actually done that with great success during the winter.

That looks like a dick that's been broken in half.
